DERGAON, Nov 30 - Four persons died and 20 others were injured in a mishap on the NH-37 at Rangamatty under Dergaon PS in the wee hours today. According to information available, a Tinsukia-bound night bus (AS-01-GC-4766) from Guwahati collided head on with an oil tanker.
The injured were shifted to the Jorhat Medical College Hospital. The deceased were identified as bus driver Jyoti Bora (45) of Majuli, handyman Gautam Baruah (25) and passenger Samir Kapoor (35) of Delhi. The fourth deceased is yet to be identified. According to the police, the accident might have occurred due to heavy fog.
