JORABAT, March 8 - Acting on a tip-off, Sonapur police seized four brick-laden trucks at Naziraghat and arrested four persons in connection with the illegal selling of bricks, in the wee hours today.

Police said one Hazrat Ali used to buy bricks from trucks coming from the brick kiln illegally by managing the truck drivers and their helpers, and then sell the bricks to different customers.

The arrested include three truck drivers � Janak Bodo (27) of Sonapur, Bhognath Chettri (33) of Kalangpar and Prasenjit Biswas (21) of Mayong � and Delal Dey, an employee of Hazrat Ali.

One truck driver, however, managed to escape.

The arrested were sent to the CJM Court in Guwahati, which sent them to 14 days� police remand.
