3,913 cases in Mizoram so far

AIZAWL, Dec 5 - Mizoram has so far detected 3,913 COVID-19 cases after testing of 1,55,507 samples. The State�s positivity rate stands at 2.52 per cent, an official said today.

�Mizoram�s positivity rate of 2.52 per cent is much lower than the national average, and it is one of the lowest in the country,� the official from the State COVID-19 operational team, stated.

Meanwhile, following testing of 1,350 samples during the last 24 hours, 25 fresh cases have been detected.

State Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana said that the Government has no intention of imposing lockdowns in December unless there is an abrupt rise in cases. However, the COVID-19 No Tolerance Drive will remain in force till January 10.

Mizoram has so far reported six virus deaths.
