39 new positive cases in Dhubri dist

DHUBRI, June 5 - As many as 39 positive cases were reported from all over Dhubri district in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of COVID-19 cases to 194. Till Thursday night, reports of 39 positive cases arrived. All these fresh cases are among the migrant labourers and students who had returned to the district recently and have been quarantined.

The samples of all these cases were sent on June 1 and 2 from different quarantine centres and the results of the tests arrived on Thursday evening.

Interestingly, most of the positive cases are from quarantine centres at Hatidura, who are residents of various parts of the district. However among these fresh cases, most patients are from Agomoni and Golokganj circles, including patients from Fakirganj area. Three persons, two from Fakirganj area and one from Uzzan Petla village under Tamarhat, were quarantined at Ajij Lodge located at the heart of Dhubri town and they have been found to be COVID-19 positive.

Most of these fresh patients are between the age group of 18 to 35 that includes eight females and a three-year-old boy.

Talking to this correspondent, Joint Director of Health, Dhubri, Sayed Imdadullah said, �Till Thursday, eight persons of the district have recovered.�
