37th Jyotirupa one-act play contest from Jan 27

GUWAHATI, Jan 18 - The 37th Jyotirupa One-Act Play Competition will start with a five-day programme from January 27 at the Rabindra Bhawan here.

The troupes taking part in the competition will be staging their plays from 4 pm during these five days.

The awards among the winners of the competition would be distributed at 6 pm of January 31, said a Jyotirupa press release here today.

According to the schedule of the competition, city-based troupe Kristipathar will stage Asthi, while the Lakhara-based D Sarma Cultural Academy will stage Aei Matire Maramate, Biswanath Chariali-based Sabdam will stage Ejak Seujia Barasun, city-based Saptarshi Gosthi will stage Khoj, Maligaon-based Gandharva will stage Satru, city-based Make-up will stage Jivanar Jiyagan and Brihattar Bamunimaidam Sahitya Sabha will stage Lipsa on January 27.

On January 28, city-based Srijan Gosthi will stage Swachha Bharat, Sonaipuria Natyadal, Morigaon, will stage Natun Asamor Map, Nalbari-based Natyacharcha will stage Mistake, Rangiya Dimu-Dobok Chariali-based Mancha will stage Mrityu Silpa, Maligaon-based Nabajagaran will stage Patra Chai, Patacharkuchi-based Natsala will stage Mokara, Dhemaji-based Jumuthi Natyagosthi will stage Dhol, Nalbari-based Pahi Creation will stage Bibhranti and Dhemaji Natyamandir will stage Atmayudha.

On January 29, city-based Panchasur will stage Prem, Dalanghat Agragami Natyakala Sangha will stage Majnishar Chior, Pathsala-based Natmandal will stage Atithisala, Jamugurihat Dekachuk-based Collage will stage Raja Rani Ahise Alang Dalang Khelishe, Nagaon-based Rangalay will stage Bridnabanat Hathat Edin, Nalbari-based Anath Bikash Kendra will stage Prahelika, Nazira Anchalik Silpli Nyas will stage No Propaganda, city-based Rudraksha Theatre and Art will present Agle Janam Me Bhi Mohe Bitia Ki Jo and Barpeta-based Mukha will stage Rod Rengani.

On January 30, city-based Abhinoy will stage Collage, Barpeta-based Rangchara will stage Jar Kolat, Nityananda-based Natghar will stage Murkhar Bakasto, city-based Mahabahu will stage Jivan Natar Sesh Rati, city-based Ekatar Enajari Sanaskritik Gosthi will stage Marudyan, Nagaon-based Jyotisilpa Natyagosthi will stage Sonali Sutar Jori and Maligaon-based Rangarag will stage Jonti Olale Torati Olabo, said the Jyotirupa press release signed by its general secretary Naren Hazarika.
