GUWAHATI, Nov 15 � The 36th Jyotirupa North-East One-Act Play contest will get under way at the Rabindra Bhawan here at 4 pm on January 27. The five-day event will conclude on January 31.
The Kishore Thakuria Memorial Mono Acting Contest will also be held at the same time and venue.
Interested participants for the one-act play contest have been urged to submit their application forms and play manuscripts together with a joining fee of Rs 300 to Sikha Bhattacharya or Ashim Kumar Deka at the Assam Tribune office on or before December 31.
This time, children�s drama troupes are not entitled to participate in the event.
The Singhapurush RG Baruah Memorial Seventh Annual Invitational Full-fledged Drama Festival will be held at the Rabindra Bhawan from February 24 to 28, a press release from Jyotirupa said.
