DERGAON, Sept 6 - Teachers are the backbone of the society. The role of teachers is judged on how much they have succeeded in the formation of a society. As education is a dynamic process so the teachers also need to be dynamic. They must adapt to the new challenges for providing quality education. They must also prepare themselves for the education for the tomorrow. At the same time, the primary duty of the Government is to resolve the problems of the teachers so that they do not have to go to the classrooms on an empty stomach. This was stated by Retired Director Grade Scientist of NEIST, Jorhat Dr Choudhury Nath Saikia while delivering his speech as the appointed speaker at the central programme of Teachers Day organised by the district administration at the District Library, Golaghat on Tuesday.
