AIZAWL, Aug 6 - Thirty-three people, including 29 security personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 in Mizoram in the last 24 hours, taking the State�s tally to 537.
The four civilians included a nurse of the Zoram Medical College who contracted the virus from a patient, an official release stated. The remaining three civilians are from Saitual, Champhai and Lawngtlai districts.
All of them, except the nurse, had been under facility quarantine. Of the total 537 cases in Mizoram, 251 are active cases and 286 are recovered cases. The recovery rate in the State stands at 53.25 per cent.
Aizawl district has reported the maximum number of COVID-19 cases at 327, followed by Lunglei at 93.
