UDALGURI, July 25 - The COVID-19 situation in Udalguri district is taking a serious turn. According to the district health bulletin, 33 persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday in the district. However, three persons were also discharged on Saturday.
Meanwhile, one Amrit Deka, a retired teacher of Kalaigaon area of the district, died due to the COVID-19 on Friday night at the GMCH. With this, the tally of dead persons due to COVID-19 increased to two.
Till date 367 persons have been infected, out of which 255 have been discharged. There are 110 active cases till the filing of this report here in Udalguri district, the health bulletin added.
