30 new Covid-19 cases in Dhubri pushes tally to 797

DHUBRI, July 26 - Although community spread of Covid-19 has not yet been confirmed by the district administration, however, during the last few days there has been a spike in the number of COVID-19 infections in Dhubri district.

After the inclusion of 30 new cases during the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 cases in Dhubri district today was 797, while 4 more from the district were found positive outside the district.

However, according to the Covid-19 checklist, till the time of filing this report, 607 persons had recovered and had been released while most of them are under home quarantine, leaving 190 active cases.

Again on Saturday, 40 new cases were reported, but still no administrative official confirmed about community spread of the virus.

However, medical officials informed that most of the newly-detected positive cases were registered after conducting the ongoing Rapid Antigen Test in Gauripur.

Till today, the District Health Services along with the district administration has increased the number of tests that are being conducted in the district.
