AIZAWL, Sept 20 - Thirty more people, including 17 Assam Rifles personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 in Mizoram, taking the State�s virus count to 1,578.
An official statement said 1,744 samples were tested in the State in the last 24 hours.
While one case was reported from Aizawl district, 20 cases � including 17 AR personnel � were reported from Lunglei district, four from Lawngtlai district, one from Mamit district and four from Kolasib district, the source said.
The lone case reported from Aizawl district is a 24-year-old man who is symptomatic. His source of infection is not known.
The remaining 29 patients have travel history, the source said. Of total 1,548 cases, 588 are active cases while 990 people have recovered from the disease.
