SILCHAR, Oct 3: Three trucks laden with timber from Mizoram without transit permit were seized around 2 am on Saturday at Dholai.
Officials of Cachar Forest Division led by Divisional Forest Officer Sunnydeo Choudhary, and Dibyajyoti Deori, Range Forest Officer, Hawaithang Range of Dholai constituency and protection squad intercepted the trucks.
According to sources, the drivers and handymen have been arrested and they are being interrogated.
