TURA, July 30 - A Forest team of Williamnagar Range caught three timber smugglers in early morning hours yesterday. While two of the smugglers are from Garo Hills, one has been identified as a resident from Assam.
�We were able to catch them while they were taking seven Sal logs in a Mahindra Pick-up van. The incident took place at about 3.30 am,� said the Range forest officer, Chisaka Marak.
The three were smuggling timber in a vehicle AS 18 C 1707. The three were later given bail.
