SHILLONG, March 6 � Three students hailing from Manipur and studying at North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) here were arrested for assaulting and molesting a tea stall worker in the University campus, the police said.
They were arrested, but were later released after they secured anticipatory bail from a local court, they said.
Police said the trio, who were involved in the crime on February 27, had absconded but surrendered at Mawlai PS with an interim pre-arrest bail from the court.
The accused have been identified as Ringlan Ngashangva, Saramwung Raikhan and Aaron Lungleng, all hailing from Ukhrul district of Manipur.
�All of them were arrested and later released on bail as per directions of the court,� the police said. � PTI
