IMPHAL, Nov 4 - Manipur has reported three more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, official sources said here today. The cumulative number of virus deaths in the State has now touched 187.
In the last 24 hours, three persons � a 67-year-old male from Imphal West, a 77-year-old male from Imphal East and a 56-year-old male from Imphal East � expired at the JNIMS Hospital, stated Dr Kh Sasheekumar Mangang, spokesperson of the Manipur Health Department in a press release.
In the past 24 hours, 261 civilians and one Central Armed Police Forces personnel were confirmed positive. The new COVID-19 cases were confirmed at 28 testing facilities in the State.
Meanwhile, 158 persons were discharged from 19 COVID care facilities in the past 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 19,503, while the numbers of active and recovered cases are 3,698 and 15,618 respectively. The recovery rate is 80.07 per cent.
As of Wednesday, 4,36,042 people were screened at various entry points into the State, while 3,61,324 individuals have been tested for the disease so far, said officials.
