3 more deaths in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Nov 30 - Three more persons, including a 28-year-old woman, have fallen prey to the novel Coronavirus in the State that took the COVID-19 death toll to 54, a senior health official said.

State Surveillance Officer (IDSP) Dr Lobsang Jampa informed that the young lady, hailing from Pushi Nyorak village of West Siang district, expired on Saturday night at the Dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH), Chimpu here due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). She was suffering from severe anaemia and hepatic encephalopathy with COVID-19 infection.

On Saturday, another COVID-19 patient, a 65-year-old man from Lelekujan village of Lakhimpur in Assam died at DCH, Chimpu here. He was suffering from anaemia and died due to ARDS. The body was handed over to the relatives in a �body bag� after sanitization as per SOP.

The third victim, a 75-year-old man from Rumgong village in Siang district passed away on Sunday. He was detected COVID-19 positive on November 21 at the FRU in Ruksin. He was suffering from Alzheimer�s disease and was admitted at the facility due to sudden loss of consciousness with aspiration pneumonia. The patient was, however, discharged on request by the relatives, but sadly died on the way to his residence at Rumgong.

Meanwhile, the State on Sunday recorded seven fresh COVID-19 cases, including three from West Kameng and two each from Itanagar Capital Complex and Namsai. The infected include two military personnel from MH-Dahung in West Kameng district.
