GUWAHATI, Feb 15 � Three militants belonging to the Karbi Peoples� Liberation Tiger (KPLT) were arrested by a joint team of Army and Police in Hamren subdivision.
The arrested include the outfit�s self-styled finance secretary and auditor.
The Jagiroad-based Army camp of Red Horns Division today launched a joint operation with the Assam Police in Karbirongsope village in
Hamren subdivision and apprehended Birton Timung alias Rock, the finance secretary, Hemai Singh Kro alias Mysing, the auditor, along with Langtuk Rohang of KPLT.
One AK rifle, two pistols along with assorted ammunition, including other incriminating documents were recovered from the militants, a defence press release stated.
