IMPHAL, Sept 17 - Three persons, including a minor boy and a woman, were arrested along with brown sugar worth around Rs 1 crore in the international market, by security forces in the border town of Moreh.
A police source said that the trio were arrested by a combined team of police commandos and 12 Assam Rifles personnel while checking a Maruti Alto car at the Khudengthabi check post along the NH-102 on Monday.
The security forces found brown sugar weighing around 500 gm concealed in the vehicle. The drug peddlers, including the minor boy, and the seized contraband have been handed over to the Moreh Police Station, the police source added.
