GUWAHATI, Nov 16 � The Fancy Bazar Municipal Market Dealers Association has called a three-day bandh of the market from November 18 in protest against an untoward incident that took place at Fancy Bazar today.
The Association alleged that during the cleanliness campaign under Nirmal Asom Abhijaan conducted at the GMC Market this morning, an untoward incident took place at the behest of a �controversial businessman� of the area.
�We also suspect that a senior GMC official is also involved in the incident and as a mark of protest against the unsavoury development, we have called a three-day bandh from November 18,� the Association said in a statement.
