JORHAT, Sept 24 - Police arrested two persons on charges of their alleged involvement in a dacoity case at the residence of Bipul Pujari, a retired employee of Military Engineering Service at Borigaon Bypass area here under Bhogdoi police outpost on Friday.
A police source said that Gautam Bora and Jitu Kalita were arrested from Pulibor here yesterday. The source said that police were on the lookout for another accomplice of the duo.
On Friday, a three-member gang forcibly entered the house of Pujari and brandishing sharp weapons and iron rods took away three mobile handsets along with valuable kitchen utensils.
Meanwhile, police arrested Phulbar Hussain on Saturday night on charges of stealing a car battery that was subsequently recovered from him.
