GUWAHATI, March 7 � Three persons have been arrested in connection with an alleged rape of a minor girl at Kamakhya Nagar under the Bhangagarh police station last night.
The arrested accused � Sukumar Kalita, Dhanmani Saikia and Debojit Bora � are facing charges under Section 376 D of the IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
Police said that the victim�s statement has been recorded and medical examination of the victim and the accused has been completed.
�For the moment, the victim will be kept in a children home. We are examining the case from all angles,� police said.
