29 new cases in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Nov 27 - Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported 29 new COVID-19 cases, which took the tally of confirmed cases to 16,204.

Six of the new cases were reported from the Itanagar Capital Complex, five from West Kameng, four from East Siang, and three each from West Siang and Leparada.

Two cases each were recorded in Kurung Kumey and Anjaw, and one each in Lower Siang, Namsai, Tirap and Papumpare. Twenty-four of the total cases have been found asymptomatic and five symptomatic, stated a bulletin issued by the State Health Department.

A total of 72 patients were discharged on Thursday, pushing the State�s total recoveries to 15,229. The recovery rate in the State now stands at 93.98 per cent.

At present, there are 926 active cases in the State and 49 people have died due to COVID-19 so far. The Itanagar Capital Complex continues to be the worst affected with 5,741 cases, including 5,093 recovered and 624 active cases, besides 24 deaths.
