29 more persons sent to Sarusajai quarantine camp

NALBARI, April 4 - The Nalbari district administration on Saturday sent the third batch of 29 people to Sarusajai quarantine camp for medical screening and further observations.

Earlier, 67 persons, including four COVID-19 positive patients, who came to the district from Uttar Pradesh after visiting Nizamuddin Markaz were shifted to the camp.

Deputy Commissioner Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury told this correspondent that 42 medical tests were found negative so far.

The seven persons of the 11-member team who came from Uttar Pradesh were among the 42 negative cases. He added that the 29 persons who were sent to Sarusajai also included some persons who visited Nizamuddin Markaz and their relatives.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the district-level task force was also held on Saturday at the Deputy Commissioner�s conference hall to review the current situation in the district. Chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation Jayanta Malla Baruah also attended to meeting.
