SHILLONG, Aug 11 - Meghalaya today registered 27 new COVID-19 positive cases. Both Ri-Bhoi and East Khasi Hills districts reported the highest eight cases each.
The other districts which reported the new cases include West Garo Hills (7), North Garo Hills (2), West Jaintia Hills (1) and South West Khasi Hills (1).
With these new cases, the active positive cases have risen to 626 in the State. Among the 11 districts of the State, East Khasi Hills has 425 active cases, followed by Ri-Bhoi (93).
In the past 24 hours, 12 patients have also recovered from the viral disease, taking the total recoveries in the State to 510.
