JORHAT, Dec 22 - In a surge in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Jorhat district, 27 more people were found infected on Tuesday thereby increasing the total number of positive cases in the district to 12,192.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Roshni A Korati informed on Tuesday that among the 27 positive cases, 26 were without travel history, while one had travel history. She stated that among the 27 positive cases, four were from Jorhat town.
The total number of active cases in the district on Tuesday was 73 while the number of COVID deaths was 63, the Deputy Commissioner added.
