GUWAHATI, March 7 - The All Assam Body Building and Fitness Association (AABBFA) under the aegis of Kreeda Bharti will organise the 26th Mr Assam Body Building Championship at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra here on March 9 and 10.

More than 100 bodybuilders from all over Assam are expected to take part in the championship.

The championship will feature men�s body building, men�s fitness, men�s classic physique and women�s physique fitness in five weight categories � 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg and above 75kg.

The registration of the participants will be held on March 9 in the competition venue at 3 pm.

The competition will be held in ten groups where top five from each group will be selected for the finals.

For the smooth conduct of the championship, the association has invited national level referees and judges from Manipur, Bengal and Tripura. The total prize money of the championship is Rs 5 lakh. The champion of champions Mr Assam will receive a cash award of Rs 70,000 along with a trophy while the women champion of champions will get Rs 30,000 along with a trophy.
