2457 schools being covered under Gunotsav in Lakhimpur

ORTH LAKHIMPUR, April 8 - The evaluation programme Gunotsav conducted by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan from Class II to Class VIII got under way in Lakhimpur district from Wednesday covering 2457 schools. In Lakhimpur district, Gunotsav-2017 is organised by the district administration and the District Elementary Education Office besides the SSA, Assam. The four MLAs from four LAC areas of the district � Baba Kumar Doley of Dhakuakhana, Utpal Dutta of Lakhimpur, Mamood Imdadul Haq Chawdhury of Nowboicha and Devananda Hazarika of Bihpuria took part in the programme in schools in their respective constituencies on the first day. College teachers and officials from various government departments participated in that educational assessment programme as evaluators. Ten IAS and IPS officials from the State Government are also taking part as external evaluators in the Gunotsav.

On the first day, one teacher was found absent from his regular duty and thereafter suspended from his job immediately by the IS, Lakhimpur.
