DHUBRI, May 17 - Till the time of filing this report today, as many as 2,445 persons who arrived from different parts of the country have been kept in 21 quarantine facilities in Dhubri district.
According to a report by the district administration, 1,077 persons were staying in the Sagolia institutional quarantine centre, while in Halakura HS School, Dhubri Gurudwara, Sagolia HS and ME School, Belguri HS School, Agomoni HS School, MV Academy Dumardaha, PC Institution, Gauripur, FA Memorial School Agomoni, Bidyapara Boys� School Dhubri, Hudurhat Dharmasala HS School, Kismat Hasdaha High School, BN College Dhubri and Chapar Madrassa School, there are 115, 36, 145, 109, 71, 116, 118, 60, 126, 92, 67, 102 and 138 persons respectively, who have been quarantined. Apart from these, there are also other centres where fewer people have been quarantined.
The district administration informed that most of these persons are from Dhubri district who came from other parts of the country and mostly consist of labourers, daily wage earners, students and working persons. They also include people who went out of the state for treatment and remained stranded due to the lockdown.
Apart from these, 7,456 persons have been home quarantined in Dhubri district and all the five persons who were found to be COVID-19 positive have recovered, out of which 4 have been home quarantined and 1 is under observation. While three persons from Dhubri district who were found COVID-19 positive at Delhi have recovered.
It was also informed that 499 beds in the entire district are ready to be used for isolation of COVID-19 patients.
Meanwhile, in the entire district a total of 2,054 samples have been taken for COVID-19 test, out of which 1,390 results have been received as COVID-19 negative, while results of 651 are awaited.
Moreover, 822 samples were taken through RT PCR App out of which 237 results have been received as negative while the rest are awaited.
