KOKRAJHAR, May 14 - Twenty-two villagers, including women and children, fell ill after taking free medicines distributed at a medical camp organised in Tetliguri village, under the Dotma Police Station in Kokrajhar district, by the mobile medical unit of the National Rural health Mission on Friday. The condition of two of them is serious, though the rest are stated to be out of danger. The victims were admitted to Dotma Hospital and RNB Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar.
Kokrajhar DC Madhab Prasad Sharma said that a probe has been ordered and the samples of the drugs, etc., distributed at the camp are being thoroughly examined.
