GUWAHATI, Sept 3 - The All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association has announced that they will felicitate the readers who will purchase Assamese books worth Rs 10,000 during the 21st edition of the North East Book Fair to be held from November 1 to 12 at the Assam Engineering Institute playground here.
According to a statement, the last date of submission of entry form for all publishers is October 15 and the stall allocation lottery will be held on October 23 on the Guwahati Press Club premises.
This time, the main stage of the book fair will be dedicated to the late GL Agarwala and the late Benu Misra. The cultural evenings will be dedicated to the late Purnobrata Debogoswami.
Women�s day will be celebrate during the period in memory of Purobi Bormudoi, a programme on senior citizens will be held in memory of Promod Chandra Bhattacharya, children�s day will be observed in memory of Manik Bora and a special programme will be held in memory of Dr Bhupen Hazarika.
