The 20th edition of International Leo Expo will be held at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre here from February 5 to 22.
Organised by Leo Advertising and supported by Assam government’s Assam Trade Promotion Organisation, the expo will remain open for shoppers and visitors daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to choose products from various national and international brands that will put up their stalls at the expo. Manufacturers from countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Thailand, Bangladesh, etc., will be putting up their stalls at the expo, a Leo Advertising statement said here today.
The Bodoland Industries and Commerce department have decided to put up several stalls at the expo, displaying a wide range of traditional Bodo handicraft and other hand-made items from Bodoland.
Like the previous years, an art competition for school children in three categories – Category A (students from Class I to III, Category B (Class IV to VI) and Category C (Class VII to X) – will be held during the expo.
The first, second and third prize winners in each category will get Rs 15,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000, respectively. Apart from these, there would be seven consolation prizes as well in each category.
Two prominent Assamese personalities from the field of journalism and art and culture will be conferred with Leo Expo Sangbadik Sanman and Leo Expo Shilpi Sanman, the statement said.
