Suzuki is all set to launch the 2019 Gixxer 150 in India by the end of July. Ahead of its launch, a brochure revealing the images of the bike has been leaked online. The upcoming Gixxer 150 gets a muscular Streetfighter styling and expected to be priced around Rs.95,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The design cues of the bike looks almost similar to the yet another upcoming bike of Suzuki, the Gixxer 250 while the exhaust and the tail section resemble the recently launched 2019 Gixxer SF model. The new Gixxer 150 gets a fresh appeal with a sleeker, retro-styled LED headlamp instead of the halogen unit. The instrument cluster is also the same as the one seen on the 2019 Gixxer SF. Other highlight features include the telescopic front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension, disc brakes at both ends, single-channel ABS as standard and a sportier split seats.
The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 will get powered by the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine that powers the 2019 Gixxer SF model. The fuel-injected engine churns out a peak power of 14.1PS at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed gearbox. Suzuki is likely to offer the engine with BS6-compliant, complying the future emission norms.
In terms of competition, the upcoming 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 will take on the likes of its rivals Honda CB Hornet 160R, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZ FI V3 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
