PATACHARKUCHI, March 27 - Altogether eight candidates are in the fray from Patacharkuchi LAC and 12 from Bhabanipur LAC under Bajali Election District for the ensuing assembly polls in the State. On the last date of withdrawal of nominations on Saturday, no candidate withdrew from the race in Patacharkuchi and only one candidate withdrew his papers in Bhabanipur LAC.
In Patacharkuchi, the candidates are Pabindra Deka (AGP), Sailen Kalita (INC) Manoranjan Das (Ind), Nilima Bhattacharya (Ind), Baikuntha Sarma (Ind), Puspak Dutta (Ind), Dr Kartik Deka (Ind) and Kamleswar Medhi (Ind).
In Bhabanipur LAC, Bipul Das (Ind ) withdrew his nomination. The remaining contestents are Manoj Baruah (BJP), Rajib Das (INC), Abdul Kalam Azad (AIUDF), Messer Mullah (Ind), Anoar Islam Akand (Ind), Kazi Shampul Afrin(Ind), Haidar Ali(Ind), Phanidhar Talukdar (Ind), Milan Boro (Ind), Kanak Ch Boro (Ind), Bhupendra Kalita(Ind) and Shatya Charan Arya (Ind).
