IMPHAL, Oct 30 - Two newly-constructed women�s markets were inaugurated at Senapati and Tamenglong today.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh, accompanied by ministers V Hangkhanlian (Agriculture), Karam Shyam (Revenue), MLA Khasim Vashum, Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu and DGP LM Khaute attended the inaugural function. Adviser to the Chief Minister Rajat Sethi, Secretary to the Chief Minister N Geoffrey and others also attended the function.
In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the State Government�s new initiatives to bring development in the State. Singh said that the construction of the Rani Gaidinliu Women�s Market at Tamenglong is a clear indication of the Prime Minister�s respect for the freedom fighter.
