GUWAHATI, March 17 - The city police today arrested two persons from Pandu area in connection with a case of water meter theft.
They have been identified as Pankaj Ray and Nur Alom.
�A raid was conducted in the early hours today and we managed to nab Ray. The interrogation of him led to recovery of various materials used in the making of water meters from a scrap dump of Nur Alom near the Katiya bridge at Jalukbari,� police said. The water meters are supplied by Gamon India for domestic use in Pandu area.
A case has been registered with the Jalukbari Police Stattion.
