2 test COVID-19 positive, tally at 19 in Nalbari dist

NALBARI, May 25 - As two more persons, including an 11-year-boy tested COVID-19 positive today, the total number of infected persons has gone up to 19. The new COVID-19 positive cases have been identified as Binit Kumar (11) of Nalbari town and Pankaj Haloi of Da Kaunia village of Nalbari district.

Binit came back from Bihar with his parents on May 22 and stayed at JNV quarantine centre of Banekuchi village. Similarly, Pankaj also returned from Chennai on the same day and was under quarantine at the centre. They have been shifted to Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital this evening though they are now asymptomatic.

It may be mentioned here that at present eight COVID-19 patients have been admitted at the hospital for close monitoring of their health conditions. On the other hand, six patients have been admitted at MMCH and one in Barpeta Medical College Hospital. Four COVID-9 patients of the district have so far been released.
