IMPHAL, May 28 - Two girl students sustained minor injuries while another fainted when police burst teargas shells and resorted to baton charge to prevent the students from marching within the perimeter of the high security zone area here today, the police said.
The incident occurred at Kwakeithel area along the Tiddin Road in Imphal West district, half-a-km from the Governor�s and CM�s bungalows.
Police said the students were accompanied by locals and women activists during the rally for conversion of the three Inner Line Permit System-related Bills into Acts with the assent of the President. The Bills were passed by the State Assembly in August last year. � PTI
