2 returnees test positive in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, June 4 - The active COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya today rose to 19 after two more returnees tested positive for the disease.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the two persons had returned from Goa and Maharashtra recently. �Both of them are under quarantine in Shillong and are healthy,� Sangma added. With these two cases, the total positive cases in the State have surged to 33. Thirteen persons have already recovered and one person has died.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister held a meeting with officials to review various protocols and the State�s plan of action in view of the relaxation of lockdown restrictions.
