TURA, April 21 - Following concerns raised by residents of the Garo Hills following a notification converting the Tura Civil Hospital into a full-fledged COVID-19 hospital, a new notification has empanelled the Tura Christian Hospital and the Holy Cross Hospital here for all general patients, including emergency cases.

A release from the Superintendent of the Tura Civil Hospital, stated that since the Tura Civil Hospital has been notified and converted as a COVID-19 hospital with effect from April 20 for focused treatment of any suspected and infected cases of COVID-19, all general patients, including emergency cases, will now be attended to, at the Christian Hospital and the Holy Cross Hospital.

Further, since these two hospitals are empanelled for MHIS, the patients can avail of MHIS facilities in them. Those patients without MHIS cards can make new cards instantly at the two private hospitals. Moreover, if the patients need specialised consultation, the authorities of the hospitals can call specialists from the Tura Civil Hospital.
