2 pairs of Holi-special trains to run between Kamakhya, Anand Vihar

GUWAHATI, March 3 - Maligaon-headquartered Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run two pairs of Holi-special trains between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar (New Delhi).

�These special trains are expected to clear the rush of passengers who are planning to travel during Holi. Wait-listed passengers of other regular trains can also change their journey schedule to avail this special train,� said Subhanan Chanda, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NFR.

Holi-special train No.04052 will leave from Anand Vihar on March 4 and March 9 at 11.45 pm and reach Kamakhya at 2.45 pm on March 6 and March 11, respectively.

On the return journey, Holi-special train No.04051 will leave from Kamakhya at 5.35 am on March 7 and March 12 and reach Anand Vihar at 7 pm on March 8 and March 13. �The special train will have AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class facilities for passengers,� said Chanda.

During its journey, the train will have stoppages at Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, Alipurduar Junction, Binnaguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Katihar, Naugachia, Barauni, Khagaria Junction, Begusarai, Hajipur, Chhapra, Siwan, Deoria Sadar, Gorakhpur, Basti, Mankapur Junction, Gonda, Sitapur Cantonment, Chandausi Junction, Hapur, Moradabad, and Ghaziabad on both ways.

NFR has been running such special trains depending on heavy rush of passengers as well as feasibility on a particular route, Chanda added.
