SHILLONG, Sept 9 - Two persons have died and 121 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the past 24 hours in another huge spike of cases in Meghalaya. The COVID-19 death toll in the State is 19. The total active cases stand at 1,355.
East Jaintia Hills reported 59 positive cases, followed by East Khasi Hills (30), West Garo Hills (25), South Garo Hills (4), Ri-Bhoi (2) and West Khasi Hills (1).
During this 24-hour period, 107 persons have also recovered from the infection. The total recoveries in the State have risen to 1,823.
