SHILLONG, June 30 - Two persons have tested positive for COVID-19 during the past 24 hours in Meghalaya, taking the active cases to nine and the overall cases to 52 in the State.
The wife of a Border Security Force (BSF) driver, who had tested positive on Monday, is one of the two positive cases, a Health official said today. Apart from the driver, two other BSF personnel from the Meghalaya Frontier Headquarters here had also tested positive earlier.
Officials said that the BSF driver�s wife has been admitted to a BSF hospital.
The other positive case is that a person who had returned from Guwahati recently and was quarantined at Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills district. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted: �One more person who came from Assam (Guwahati) has tested positive for COVID 19 in Khliehriat.�
