SILCHAR, Sept 30 - A mob blocked the Silchar-Saurashtra Mahasadak at Borkhola today afternoon after a speeding truck carrying stones killed a cyclist.
According to police, the incident took place at Moinargarh under Borkhola Police Station at around 3pm. Badal Saotal (32), a local resident was going towards his home when a speeding truck carrying stones from Balachora stone quarry towards Udharbondh knocked him down. Saotal died on the spot. Police informed that the mob set the truck ablaze and the driver lynched.
