UDALGURI, March 1 - Two persons were arrested from the Upper Yelloripam village in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh with 125 kilogram of cannabis recently.
The 61 battalion of Sashstra Seema Bal (SSB) based at Bhairabkunda under Bhairabkunda police station arrested the two during a special operation on February 27, sources said.
Later, the accused were identified as Ranjit Khoya of No-7 Dhansiri under Lalpani police outpost, Mazbat and Jarman Baski of Madhuli under Rowta police station. This was informed in a press release by Rajiv Rana, commandant of 61 Battalion of SSB, Bhairabkunda.
The SSB later handed over the duo and the seized cannabis to the Balemu police station in Arunachal Pradesh.
