GUWAHATI, Feb 15 � The Sri Sri Umananda Devalaya Shivaratri Mahotsav Uddyapan Samiti is organising a two-day event on February 17-18 on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
The event will be held at Umananda Devalaya, said Samiti member Nripen Bhattacharya.
A number of programmes are scheduled for the occasion.
The Inland Water Transport Department has made provision for ferries between Uzanbazarghat and Umananda during the two days. The ferries will be on service between 7 am and 7 pm for convenience of devotees. Bhattacharya said thousands of devotees are expected from across the State.
