2 COVID-19 patients recover in Tura

TURA, June 17 - Two COVID-19 patients were discharged from the Corona Care Centre here today after they tested negative twice.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh stated this in the presence of the Officer on Special Duty and the in-charge of the Corona Care Centre, DD Shira, District Medical and Health Officer, Dr Marwin R Sangma, Joint Director and Superintendent of the Tura Civil Hospital, Dr Menakshi A Sangma, and medical officers and Health Department staff here.

Deputy Commissioner Singh praised the team of the Corona Care Centre for their dedicated service to the patients. He added that a friendly environment and communication facilities should be provided to the patients as taking care of their psychological needs is very important at the time of physical isolation. Singh added that there is only one active case in the district now.
