2 containment zones declared in N Lakhimpur

NORTH LAKHIMPUR, July 27 - The Lakhimpur district administration has declared two areas in North Lakhimpur as containment zones following spikes in COVID-19 cases. The Milan Nagar area of ward no. 10 of North Lakhimpur was declared a COVID containment zone today following reports of 17 positive cases in the area.

Similarly, the headquarters of 13 Assam Police Battalion in Lilabari was declared a containment zone by the district administration as its 17 personnel tested positive of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the total number of Covid patients in Lakhimpur district has crossed 500 today.
