JORABAT, April 16 - In a joint operation conducted by Jorabat police and Basistha police, two coal-laden trucks were seized here in the wee hours today.
The drivers of the two bearing registration numbers AS 11AC 1792 and AS 01CC 4966 were arrested as they failed to produce any relevant documents for carrying the coal.
The local organisations of Jorabat and Dimoria have demanded such operations on a regular basis to put an end to such illegal activity which is causing a huge loss of revenue to the government.
