2 businessmen reported missing

GUWAHATI, Aug 29 � Two businessmen, including a Kolkota-based garment merchant, went missing under mysterious circumstances since late last night somewhere from near the Army firing range in Narengi.

The two businessmen identified as Bishnu Kedia, the owner of RAS Dairy Private Limited located in Nine Mile area and Sanjay Agarwal, a Kolkota-based undergarment dealer were last seen when they left from Fancy Bazar area around 11:30 and moved towards Narengi area.

Sanjay Agarwal is the brother-in-law of Bishnu Kedia.

The black Indica car (WB 02 4539) in which they traveling however was recovered by the police last night along with their bags. A case was later registered with the Chachal police station.

Kedia resides in the quarter of RAS Dairy Private Limited in Nine Mile area, while Sanjay is a permanent resident of Kolkota.

Top police sources when asked informed that the preliminary investigation into the incident has indicated it to be a case of abduction and investigators have launched an operation in search of the duo.

Sources further informed that cell phone of both the traders have been switched off.

Foundation course

GUWAHATI, Aug 29 � A three-months foundation course in Human Rights is going on at Arya Vidyapeeth College here, a press release said.

The course is open to all those who have passes 10+2 level. Interested candidates are requested to contact Sangeeta Kakoty, Course Coordinator, FCHR in the Department of History, Arya Vidyapeeth College on or before September 10, the release further added.
