TURA, May 11 - Two youths, accused of sexually abusing a minor girl from the plain belt of West Garo Hills, are absconding after the incident was reported to authorities.
According to police, a case of rape was registered in Phulbari Police Station after the minor, accompanied by her parents and relatives gave a written complaint on May 8. A lookout notice has been issued against the two perpetrators.
The incident took place on May 7 at about 10 pm when the girl was returning home. She was waylaid by the duo who took her to a nearby jungle where they took turns in sexually assaulting the minor.
�A case has been lodged under POCSO and we are looking for the two accused,� said superintendent of police, WGH, Dr MGR Kumar.
